Lots Going On

October has been crazy busy thus far - I guess that's what happens when you buy a new house tho - life doesn't pause for you to get settled! Here's a bunch of photos (yes - I'm getting better at the new camera!) and just a few words about what's been up with me the past three weeks!

LOST IV Girls Weekend

My Vegas Girls (Terry, Amy, Becky, & Andrea) came over for a weekend of Jammies, Snacks, and Sawyer. We spent the weekend relaxing and catching up with LOST - so we're all ready for the new season that starts in January! (sorry - no pics of this awesome weekend)

Tampa - SIOP Institute

Coworker Joe and I flew to Tampa during MEA weekend to partake in a training - so that we can now train our district colleagues. (eek - our first group is already coming up in November!) The trip was a lot of business - but we had a good time too. Stayed at Embassy Suites (awesome breakfasts and happy hours!), enjoyed a few nice dinners, and watched the Tampa Rays with locals.

Dinner with the Family

It's been great having Lon/Jaime/Alice right next door. We've been doing dinners together a lot. After dinner, we usually retire to the living room for some good ol' Ring Around the Rosie.

Alex Girls Scrapbooking

Julie, Nancy, Jaymie, & Nancy F. came over this past Saturday to scrapbook. I didn't even notice Jaymie grabbed my camera - bummer she didn't get a shot of HERSELF or Nancy. Oh well - we didn't get much scrappin' done - but it was great to hang out and visit with my dearest friends.

First Snow of the Season

Big wet flakes fell on October 26th. They didn't stick - but isn't this precious - Alice and Baxter watching so carefully.

Punchkins and Halloween Cookies

We carved pumpkins (or as Alice says "punchkins") on my kitchen floor. Alice had her very own baby pumpkin, Daddy had a little help getting the "guts" out, and mommy makes the BEST "homemade" Halloween cookies ever! :)

Invisible Fence

Ahh yes - the best invention ever! (Thanks Chris and Katie!) The night I flew out for Tampa - the guy actually came to install it. We've met with our trainer (Cara) 3 times already - and the pups are doing so well! They even sat at the corner of the house as I went down to the curb to get the mail today! Yay Baxter and Bella! We do have one more training session - note white flags in yard - and will keep on practicing too! These pics are the real proof that this was money well spent! Look at how much fun the pups (AND Alice) had in the backyard today!

Alice's School Halloween Party

Tonight I got to go with Alice and her mom and dad to her school party. It took her a while to warm up to the craziness, but once she did, she enjoyed the ball toss (duh - balls and water = Alice's favorite things!), she decorated her own cookie, and she got to eat it! Alice is looking forward to Trick-or-Treating with her BFFs this Friday!

Ok - Pretty caught up - I'll try to not fall so far behind again! :)

Hope you are all keeping warm!

Thanks for the great and complete update, sorry about Sunday but we had company, we don't plan to have any company this weekend. We have a church celebration on Sun, but we should be home by 4PM or earlier. We had a nice get together with Bob & Verna and Verna's sister and brother-in-law.

Very good pictures of all of you.

Love you all,

Grandpa & Dad

I think "balls and water" might be two of Heidi's favorite things too.
