Tagged From Tendrils

The rules…

Find the 6th folder in your pictures directory and post the 6th photo in it.

So here are the instructions:

* Go to your sixth picture folder then pick your sixth picture.
* Pray that you remember the details.
* Post it on your blog.
* Tag 5 others, leave a comment to let them know they’ve been tagged.

So, my 6th picture in my 6th folder is: (Drumroll, please……..)

So really this is the 6th picture of the 6th folder of the 6th folder of the 6th folder (yes - iPhoto is THAT organized!)

I believe this was the first time that all (at the time) four 2nd Cousins were together with Great Grandma and Great Grandpa. Chris and Katie had a BBQ - and we all just hung out. I know it was June (6th folder) of 2007. And as far as I know - this pic has not been recreated since Hannah Sophia came along. Hmm. . sounds like a Christmastime assignment for my sis-in-law and my cousins-in-law!

Ok - and now to TAG you people! I'll be checking your blogs this week - so get your "blogging" homework done: Katie, Sarah, Heidi, Katey, Jaymie, JB!

Mr. President

I am so tired, but also so proud to be an American, and to be able to watch this exciting night in our history (from my couch in my jammies)!

Lots Going On

October has been crazy busy thus far - I guess that's what happens when you buy a new house tho - life doesn't pause for you to get settled! Here's a bunch of photos (yes - I'm getting better at the new camera!) and just a few words about what's been up with me the past three weeks!

LOST IV Girls Weekend

My Vegas Girls (Terry, Amy, Becky, & Andrea) came over for a weekend of Jammies, Snacks, and Sawyer. We spent the weekend relaxing and catching up with LOST - so we're all ready for the new season that starts in January! (sorry - no pics of this awesome weekend)

Tampa - SIOP Institute

Coworker Joe and I flew to Tampa during MEA weekend to partake in a training - so that we can now train our district colleagues. (eek - our first group is already coming up in November!) The trip was a lot of business - but we had a good time too. Stayed at Embassy Suites (awesome breakfasts and happy hours!), enjoyed a few nice dinners, and watched the Tampa Rays with locals.

Dinner with the Family

It's been great having Lon/Jaime/Alice right next door. We've been doing dinners together a lot. After dinner, we usually retire to the living room for some good ol' Ring Around the Rosie.

Alex Girls Scrapbooking

Julie, Nancy, Jaymie, & Nancy F. came over this past Saturday to scrapbook. I didn't even notice Jaymie grabbed my camera - bummer she didn't get a shot of HERSELF or Nancy. Oh well - we didn't get much scrappin' done - but it was great to hang out and visit with my dearest friends.

First Snow of the Season

Big wet flakes fell on October 26th. They didn't stick - but isn't this precious - Alice and Baxter watching so carefully.

Punchkins and Halloween Cookies

We carved pumpkins (or as Alice says "punchkins") on my kitchen floor. Alice had her very own baby pumpkin, Daddy had a little help getting the "guts" out, and mommy makes the BEST "homemade" Halloween cookies ever! :)

Invisible Fence

Ahh yes - the best invention ever! (Thanks Chris and Katie!) The night I flew out for Tampa - the guy actually came to install it. We've met with our trainer (Cara) 3 times already - and the pups are doing so well! They even sat at the corner of the house as I went down to the curb to get the mail today! Yay Baxter and Bella! We do have one more training session - note white flags in yard - and will keep on practicing too! These pics are the real proof that this was money well spent! Look at how much fun the pups (AND Alice) had in the backyard today!

Alice's School Halloween Party

Tonight I got to go with Alice and her mom and dad to her school party. It took her a while to warm up to the craziness, but once she did, she enjoyed the ball toss (duh - balls and water = Alice's favorite things!), she decorated her own cookie, and she got to eat it! Alice is looking forward to Trick-or-Treating with her BFFs this Friday!

Ok - Pretty caught up - I'll try to not fall so far behind again! :)

Hope you are all keeping warm!

Happy Birthday Bella!

Bella is 6 years old today! To celebrate - she AND Baxter got to go to a new groomer (LOVE YA CHELSEA)! (yes - I know Bella's pic is blurry - but it's so cute!)

Baxter got the normal bath - Bella got the bath and "Golden" cut she has been needing for a LONG time. She even got cute little red bows in her hair!! (and they even stayed in - cool considering she had her head out the window the whole way home!)

Ahem - I won't even mention the part about Baxter poo-ing and then pee-ing INSIDE the Petco. . . oh well. . . he was excited! :)

Bella also got a new collar and leash for her birthday - as her old leash broke before summer - and she's been using a Christmas-y one . . totally clashing! :)

Ok - so these are the first pics I'm posting with my brand new camera - I promise there will be more once I figure out this new camera (and I also need to find my battery charger in one of these unpacked boxes!! :)

Couch: Ordered

I slept at the new house last night - yeah - it was a little weird! :) This morning I got up and did that 2nd coat in the dining room (and there's STILL some spots that need touch-up! urghh!) After painting, I ran to the apt. to shower - grabbed a bite to eat - and then ran out again to switch vehicles with Joey. After getting my little car back (yay!) I went to Dania where I met Lon and Jaime who were already shopping. Not even an hour later - we had both purchased new furniture! Mine is special order - yes Dad - I'm a princess! - so it will take a little longer. For now - I'm going to use Lon & Jaime's big red couch (I need furniture for my LOST weekend!). I just packed up my bathroom (which was the goal for tonight) - and I'll be heading back to my new bedroom for some zzzzzz's. (Did I mention I can't wait for this to be all done?!?!?!)

1st Night in New Brighton

I am getting ready to head on over to the new house - and will eventually sleep. I was thinking I'd do the second coat of "Apple Crisp" in the dining room - but I may actually wait until morning to do that. Of all the crazy things - the DishNetwork guy was EARLY - so I had to quick leave Home Depot, run home to grab a TV and the receivers - and met him at the new house at 10:30am. Whilst he drilled holes and installed the new Dish, I taped off the dining room and living room. Jaime and Joanna arrived a little bit later - they painted Lon and Jaime's dining and living room - and I got one coat done in my dining room. My bed is over there (thanks for the truck Joey!) - and my tvs are up and working - so I'll start sleeping there now - but I'll still be in NE packing every night this week! :) Ahhh. . can't wait til it's ALL DONE!! :)
